Garage Grin — 100 years

Video and photo reportage of the Garage Grin centenary weekend: keeping the memory of a family, local and historic event.

A business anniversary, but also a human archive.

Telling a weekend.

A hundred years in Lavigny is rare — and it's a story made of changes, right up to modern communication on the internet. The Garage Grin centenary called for something other than a generic souvenir video: capturing the atmosphere, the encounters, the details, the cars, and the family and local dimension of the business.

The reportage combines video and photography to keep a complete record of the event, usable afterwards in the garage's communication and archives.

Staying discreet.

At an event, the best shot isn't always the most spectacular. You often have to wait for the right moment: a conversation, a detail, a gesture, a reaction.

Video gives movement. Photos stop the right moments. Together, they let the client tell the story of the event without having to explain everything.

Filming and photographing at the same time requires choices. When both aren't essential, focusing on one or the other is often the better decision — for quality as much as for budget.

Creating a living archive.

This kind of project serves the website, social media, post-event thank-yous, but also internal memory. For a family business, these images can hold their value long after publication.

Turning a one-time moment into lasting content — that's where the real value lies.
